The story-lined dry-erase boards have become a favorite during writing—students love being able to erase, revise, and share their sentences with confidence. The Lakeshore Touch & Read CVC word and sentence games have helped them connect decoding to meaning in a hands-on way, and the mesh zipper pouches have finally given us a system to organize all of our center materials so students can work more independently.\r\nWhen the boxes first arrived, the kids were thrilled—lots of cheers and \"Can we use these today?!\" Their excitement has carried into every lesson. Our next steps are to continue building CVC fluency and begin moving into CVCC/CCVC word patterns while strengthening their writing stamina using the new boards. One unforgettable moment was during our letter-matching activity: I had wrote letters on the cubes and a student who is new to the country used the letter blocks to independently spell out their name for the very first time—without needing to speak. It was such a powerful example of how these tools are giving our students new ways to communicate and feel successful.\r\n\r\nWe're now using the materials daily in small group centers, especially during our phonics and math stations. The clipboards have made it possible for us to take learning around the room, and the tactile materials are helping students develop letter and number recognition while boosting their confidence.
