The baskets quickly became a favorite part of the room, and they eagerly took ownership of their space, choosing books and toys for quiet reading or play. The addition of the rug has been equally impactful. It's become a cozy, go-to spot for students to gather for group activities, storytime, or simply take a moment to reset. For students who struggle with self-regulation, the calming corner provides a safe space to pause, helping them regain control of their emotions and bodies before returning to classroom activities.\r\n\r\nWe also received the bean bag covers, and while they don't quite fit our current bean bags, we are excited to fill them up when we have the resources to do so. We can't wait for them to be a cozy addition to our classroom, further promoting a sense of comfort and stability.\r\n\r\nThe improvements go beyond just organization. They're helping our students develop critical skills like self-regulation, emotional awareness, and responsibility. We were elated to know that you believed in us and helped to make our dreams a reality. Some of my students are ENL (english as as New Language Learners). With the I-pad , they get to read and listen to audio books. This greatly help them to immerse them in the language. The I-Pad is used to to select level books which are chosen based on students interest or on particular topics and the scholars academic levels. Additionally, it is used a Teaching tool as read a-louds are shared via Smart-board.\r\n\r\nOne student is most excited about listening to Eric Carle's book. He enjoy the fact that the books are shared in the form of music instead of a regular reading voice.
