This project will help the students in all academic areas-reading, writing, math, social studies and science. Some children have limited access to books at home due to poverty and/or the inability to read independently. With the iPads, they will have access to books due to free websites such as Readworks and Epic. These websites have audio texts for struggling readers and gives teachers a way to track who is reading plus gives the he/her a progress report. For scholars who can’t write. They can independently record their writing orally which will be later transcribed by the teacher. The access to technology is an invaluable tool.
