It offers students a unique opportunity to observe and care for a living creature, which has sparked their curiosity and responsibility. Watching the tortoise's behavior and daily activities helps bring lessons about biology, habitats, and life cycles to life in a way that textbooks alone cannot.\r\n\r\nHaving a tortoise in the classroom also encourages empathy and respect for animals and nature. Students learn the importance of proper care and kindness, developing a deeper connection to the natural world. This hands-on experience enhances their understanding of science concepts and inspires meaningful conversations about ecology and conservation.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, the tortoise habitat fosters a calm and engaging atmosphere. It has become a source of joy and wonder, providing moments of reflection and a chance to slow down during busy school days.\r\n\r\nOverall, the presence of the tortoise enriches our classroom community by combining learning with real-life experience, nurturing curiosity, responsibility, and compassion in our students.\r\n\r\nThank you for your support in making this enriching experience possible for our class!","fullyFundedDate":1755735471706,"projectUrl":"project/living-science-learning-through-a-class/9476930/","projectTitle":"Living Science: Learning Through a Classroom Tortoise","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. L. Students can bring their ideas to life in a tangible way. Whether it's designing animals, buildings, or inventions, 3D printing lets them turn imagination into reality. 3D printing naturally supports science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) by letting students experiment, test, and iterate their designs. When students create something in 3D, they have to plan, design, and sometimes troubleshoot issues like balance or fit, building real-world thinking skills. Abstract ideas become easier to understand when students can touch and manipulate them. Many 3D printing projects involve group work, where students brainstorm, design, and build together, developing teamwork and communication. Completing a 3D project gives students a strong sense of accomplishment, especially when they see their design take physical form. 3D printing can be adapted to various learning styles—visual, kinesthetic, and more—helping all students engage. Exposure to design software and 3D printing gives young students early skills in technology and design that are increasingly relevant in modern careers. We thank you so very much for your continued support.","fullyFundedDate":1750884353409,"projectUrl":"project/3d-printing-into-the-future/9202316/","projectTitle":"3D Printing into the Future!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. L.
