Your support allowed me to replenish many essential items.\r\n\r\nIn class, we use yoga mats for fitness testing and various games. Our old mats had become dirty and misshapen from years of use, but thanks to your donations, I was able to replace many of them. We also use colored dots (poly spots) for games and to show students where to sit when they enter the gym. Some of these dots were over 15 years old, and I was finally able to replace them as well.\r\n\r\nThe students are thrilled to have new equipment for the gym! Your generosity has made a real difference—without your donations, it wouldn't have been possible to replace our worn-out Phys Ed equipment. Thank you again for your kindness and support.","fullyFundedDate":1757440003467,"projectUrl":"project/lets-get-physical/9557457/","projectTitle":"Let's Get Physical","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gambeski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6186273_orig.jpg?crop=2592,2592,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666536962286","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6186273"},{"teacherId":10066994,"projectId":9439326,"letterContent":"These new books have helped my students strengthen so many important reading skills like making predictions, identifying the main idea, and text self by connecting the story to their own lives. They've also learned to discuss characters perspectives focusing on their feelings, emotions, and POV. They have also been making inferences, and use context clues to understand new vocabulary. Most importantly, the books have encouraged a deeper love for reading and storytelling in our classroom.\r\nReading time in our classroom is one of the most joyful parts of the day. You'll see students curled up with a book on the rug, sharing favorite parts with a partner, or jotting down thoughts in their reading journals. Many students are enjoying the Harry Potter and Percy Jackson series. The students love to create trains with them and ride around the gym. \r\n\r\nThe stacking cups and agility ladders have been incorporated into the PE lessons. Before the donation of the charging stations and the chargers the students had to carry their iPad back and forth from home to school along with their books; which often made the weight of their backpacks burdensome. Many of the students brought their devices into school and they weren't charged, and we only had two charges, which again was a challenge. This week was wonderful because of the charging stations. The students were assigned mandatory diagnostic assessments, and every student had a device that was charged and instead of having to bring them back and forth to school every day they were plugged in and locked up overnight. \r\n\r\nThe use of iPads and technology are required in the lives of today's students and will best prepare them for the world they will grow up in. Having the charging stations has made the use of technology that much more accessible in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746471157724,"projectUrl":"project/safe-and-secure-ipads/9083016/","projectTitle":"Safe and Secure iPads","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lotti","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6237057"},{"teacherId":6186273,"projectId":9053072,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation. Without it, I would not be able to provide my students with fun activities for Field Day. When we received the equipment, I had the students test the materials during Physical Education. The students were so excited when they saw all the new things that they were going to play with. The students had so much fun using the new materials. Seeing how excited they were to use the items in the gym, I know that they are going to love playing with them in the park. For example, the students are always asking to play volleyball, but we do not have enough space during PE class to play volleyball. The students will be given the opportunity to play volleyball at the park. The new equipment will give the students new experiences.\r\n\r\nI am so looking forward to taking out the equipment again on Field Day. I know the students will love playing all the new games. Your donation will help provide my current students a fun filled Field Day. In addition, this equipment can be used for future Field Days.
