My current electric sharpeners have sharpened their last pencils. Electric sharpeners allow us to rapidly sharpen both lead and colored pencils so that my students can spend their time invested in their learning tasks and experiences rather than sharpening their pencils. Electric sharpeners make our classroom life easier by giving my students more time to sharpen their skills and express themselves. Our current sharpeners have served my students well, but after three years of heavy use, they have sharpened their last pencils. My students would greatly benefit from new electric sharpeners. They take pride in manning them and making sure everyone has sharpened pencils to work with. Lately many of them have been doing their best with the manual sharpeners, but they tend to break the points easily in their fervor to achieve a well sharpened pencil.
