Each Wednesday, students eagerly gather after school to participate in journaling, creative projects, and collaborative activities that support their social-emotional growth. The materials you provided helped transform an idea into a welcoming environment where students feel safe expressing themselves and exploring their emotions.\r\n\r\nWith access to journals, SEL resources, art/craft supplies, and games, students have developed healthy ways to manage stress and build confidence. Many have embraced journaling as a tool for reflection and goal setting, while others have discovered new ways to communicate through arts and crafts. The opportunity to decompress and learn more about ourselves and each other has also strengthened relationships and created a stronger sense of community within the group.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a lasting impact on students who often struggle with perfectionism, academic anxiety, and emotional regulation. Because of you, they now have a space where they feel seen, valued, and supported. The skills they are building (self-awareness, resilience, and emotional expression) will extend far beyond this club. Thank you for helping create a space that nurtures not just students' creativity, but their overall well-being.","fullyFundedDate":1766369785860,"projectUrl":"project/the-calm-collective-club-launch-build/9828949/","projectTitle":"The Calm Collective (Club Launch): Building Self-Care Through Creativity","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ayala Quinones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10312112"},{"teacherId":6762508,"projectId":9818631,"letterContent":"I can't believe how quickly we went through our first round of coloring books this year. We blasted six coloring books in under a month of school with every single page used! This project really helped keep the momentum up on coloring as a calming activity for students at lunch. Thanks to your generous donations, we now have a whole bin of coloring books for students to choose from, plus some I'm holding in the reserves for when these get used up!\r\n\r\nButton making continues to be the top library activity for the 6th graders. One of them in particular makes 3-4 pins each day, making them gifts for birthdays, and even for the seasons. I even received a \"birthday queen!\" pin for my birthday from this student! We have a growing collection of found/abandoned pins which hangs on a crocheted strand by the door which is a new activity for students to find a pre-made pin they like.\r\n\r\nThe new crocheting hooks saved us! We now have a stash of crochet hooks of a full range of sizes for students to check out and take home with them to work on their projects. I always tell them to use whatever yarn they need but bring the hook back!! Kids are making all sorts of stuff, including crocheted items for our unofficial library mascot, Library Goose.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting our library and for giving our kids all the nicest things. :)","fullyFundedDate":1764685682120,"projectUrl":"project/even-more-crafting-for-community/9818631/","projectTitle":"Even More Crafting for Community!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Alexis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6762508_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758803099522","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6762508"},{"teacherId":549673,"projectId":9670946,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! The wooden boards, embroidery floss, and nails were transformed in our S.T.E.A.M. String Art project into amazing, student driven, artwork! When the supplies arrived the class cheered and immediately started sharing color ideas and helping each other with tricky nail placements. My students dove right in. They planned geometric designs, measured and marked nail spots, and wrapped colorful string to make beautiful patterns. Your gift sparked teamwork, fine motor practice, and real‑world math with a creative payoff.
