They crowded around it before I even had the chance to peel off the packaging tape. During our first small-group reading lesson, one of my students whispered, \"It's like we have our own mini-classroom right here!\" The easel has already transformed the way we learn together. it's become the centerpiece of our guided instruction area. We use it daily for shared writing, and modeling reading/writing strategies and anchor charts. The visibility and organization it provides have made our small-group time more focused and interactive than ever.\r\n\r\nSeeing their confidence grow as they communicate amongst each other explained their thinking to their peers has been incredibly rewarding. The easel gives them a physical and visual way to \"show what they know,\" and it's helping many students take important steps toward learning.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity. We're beginning a series of small-group literacy workshops where students rotate through activities at the easel, practice new reading skills, and create shared writing pieces. The easel will continue to be a key tool in supporting their growth, collaboration, and creativity. Thank you for giving my students a resource they truly love and benefit from every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1758898989797,"projectUrl":"project/support-our-small-groups-with-a-teaching/9755527/","projectTitle":"Support Our Small Groups with a Teaching Easel","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Santiago","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8777456_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y385&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758676870714","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8777456"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_148","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":177,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":92,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":87,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"5.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":45.5,"schoolId":148,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Middle School 324 Patria Mirabal on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Middle School 324 Patria Mirabal","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ms-324-patria-mirabal-sisters/148"}
