The new printer and copy paper have made it possible for me to quickly prepare worksheets, graphic organizers, and project materials so students always have the resources they need during lessons. Recently, students worked on a writing activity where they brainstormed ideas, organized their thoughts on printed planning sheets, and then drafted their responses. Having reliable access to printed materials allowed every student to stay engaged in the process from start to finish. The desk tray organizer has also helped keep important papers sorted and accessible, making classroom routines smoother and more organized for both my students and me.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited to see new tools being added to our classroom. They immediately noticed how organized everything looked with the new paper tray system and hooks around the room. The noise-reduction headphones were especially appreciated by students who benefit from a quieter space during independent work time. It helped them feel supported and comfortable while focusing on their assignments. Overall, students could see that these materials were going to help our classroom run more smoothly and support their learning.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our lessons, students will use the printed resources to support reading responses, writing assignments, and project-based learning activities. The organization systems created with the trays and hooks will help keep classroom materials easy to access so students can stay focused on learning rather than searching for supplies. Moving forward, these resources will allow me to create more structured lessons and differentiated materials that meet students where they are and help them continue building their skills and confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1765648714022,"projectUrl":"project/new-teacher-big-dreams/9955914/","projectTitle":"New Teacher, Big Dreams!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Halliday","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10237978_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758218221373","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/halliday"},{"teacherId":10237978,"projectId":9675167,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our classroom has become more organized, collaborative, and engaging for my students. The mini whiteboards and dry erase markers have quickly become a daily tool during lessons. During a recent review activity, students used their personal whiteboards to solve problems and share their thinking in real time. Every student was able to participate at once, and it allowed me to quickly check for understanding while students felt comfortable trying out their ideas. The folders, binders, and locker organizers are helping students keep their materials in order, which has made transitions between activities smoother and has helped them take more ownership of their work. The magnetic storage bins and clips have also helped create an organized system for turning in assignments and accessing classroom materials.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, students were immediately excited. They loved choosing a folder color and setting up their binders so they could organize their work like \"real scholars.\" The mini whiteboards were especially a hit—students were eager to use them and couldn't wait to start writing and sharing their answers. Even small items like the new pencils and erasers made a big difference, because students knew they had the tools they needed to succeed each day. The noise-reducing headphones have also been incredibly helpful for students who benefit from a quieter workspace, allowing them to stay focused during independent work time.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue using these materials to support daily lessons and collaborative activities. The whiteboards will be used for quick problem-solving, brainstorming ideas, and practicing new skills before putting them into their notebooks and binders. Our improved organization system will help students manage longer projects and keep track of their assignments. With these tools in place, students are better prepared to stay engaged, take risks in their learning, and build confidence in their abilities.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping create a classroom environment where students have the resources they need to learn, participate, and succeed every day!","fullyFundedDate":1758899217839,"projectUrl":"project/first-year-teacher-big-dreams-for-my-st/9675167/","projectTitle":"First-Year Teacher, Big Dreams for My Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Halliday","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10237978_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758218221373","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/halliday"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_425","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":744,"numTeachers":65,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":66,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":28,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":55.6,"schoolId":425,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Middle School 180 Dr Daniel Hale Williams on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Middle School 180 Dr Daniel Hale Williams","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/is-180-daniel-hale-williams/425"}
