My students start each day knowing that if they're hungry, stressed, or simply didn't have time to eat at home, they can quietly grab what they need without feeling embarrassed. This small act of care has created a calmer, more focused learning environment. I've noticed students settling into lessons more quickly, staying engaged for longer periods, and showing greater willingness to participate because they aren't distracted by hunger or discomfort.\r\n\r\nOne moment that stood out happened during a challenging Algebra lesson. A student who often shuts down when overwhelmed walked in visibly stressed and immediately put his head down. Before I could even intervene, another student gently reminded him, \"Go grab a snack first.\" He did, and within minutes, he was sitting up, participating, and even volunteering to solve a problem on the board. That shift, made possible by something as simple as a snack, captured exactly why this project matters.\r\n\r\nAs we continue working through our current units, these snacks help students stay regulated and ready to learn, especially during longer problem‑solving tasks and group activities. The next steps for my students include preparing for end‑of‑year assessments and building confidence with multi‑step algebraic reasoning. Thanks to your generosity, they can approach these challenges with the energy, focus, and sense of safety they deserve. Your support has helped create a classroom where students feel cared for, valued, and ready to do their best.","fullyFundedDate":1763481757767,"projectUrl":"project/snacky-snack/9899563/","projectTitle":"Snacky Snack","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Amigon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10352443"},{"teacherId":1660957,"projectId":6079864,"letterContent":"Our entire auditorium has shifted thanks to your donations. Because of you, we can continue to grow and thrive. Our students feel seen and supported.\r\n\r\nWe put all the supplies up and labeled everything.
