These interactive books have quickly become a favorite among my Pre-K students. The excitement of discovering hidden pictures encourages them to stay engaged with books while building important early literacy skills such as making predictions, asking questions, observing details, and expanding their vocabulary.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is a hands-on experience, and these books have made library center time even more meaningful. Students eagerly engage with the books, and discuss what they have learned. Even students who were once reluctant to choose books are now excited to visit the library center and independently explore new texts.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of reading in our young learners. Because of your kindness, our students are now enjoying the Jungle Jumparoo in our school gym, and it has quickly become one of the most loved pieces of equipment in our building! When the students first saw the Jungle Jumparoo, their excitement was immediate. Their eyes lit up, and they could hardly wait for their turn to jump. Many students asked if they could use it every day! Which has lead to many wonderful lessons cooperation and turn taking. \r\n\r\nWe use the Jungle Jumparoo daily as part of our movement and sensory activities. Our little learners are developing important gross motor skills such as balance, coordination, strength, and body awareness while having fun. One especially meaningful moment was watching several of our students with sensory needs confidently take turns jumping alongside their classmates. The supportive handrails help them feel safe and successful, allowing them to participate successfully using the equipment. Seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter as they cheered each other on was truly heartwarming.\r\n\r\nThe impact has extended beyond our classroom and throughout the school. Every class in our school loves using the Jumparoo, making it a shared space where students can move, play, and learn together. It has become an important tool for supporting self-regulation, sensory integration, and social interaction among our young learners. We are also incorporating it into sensory breaks to help students refocus and return to classroom learning ready to succeed.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided so much more than a piece of equipment. You have created opportunities for inclusion, confidence-building, and joyful learning experiences for every child. Thank you for helping us ensure that all students have the chance to jump in, grow, and thrive.\r\n\r\n\"Anyone who does anything to help a child in his life is a hero to me.\" - Fred Rogers","fullyFundedDate":1778032742721,"projectUrl":"project/jump-for-all/10230944/","projectTitle":"Jump for All","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Burbes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1976944_orig.png?crop=354,354,x65,y65&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1608249349193","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kburbes"},{"teacherId":1976944,"projectId":9817454,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my pre-kindergarten students and helping us build a strong foundation for language and literacy. Because of your generosity, I was able to purchase engaging visual and interactive resources to support our learning.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite experiences was using visuals to accompany the story The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. The visuals helped bring the story to life by showing key vocabulary such as snow, footprints, snowball, tracks, and melting. As we read, students eagerly matched pictures to the story, acted out Peter's movements, and used the visuals to describe what was happening. These hands-on supports helped all students—especially those learning English—better understand the story and confidently use new words during discussions.\r\n\r\nThe excitement was contagious as students made connections to their own experiences with snow and shared their thoughts using the new vocabulary they had learned. The visuals encouraged participation, boosted comprehension, and helped students feel successful expressing their ideas.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our classroom is a more engaging, language-rich environment where every child feels supported and excited to learn. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in my students' learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1762267691142,"projectUrl":"project/picture-this-building-vocabulary-in-pre/9817454/","projectTitle":"Picture This!
