With this new capability, we were able to navigate the field more efficiently, complete tasks faster, and improve our overall strategy in ways that wouldn't have been possible with a traditional drivetrain.\r\n\r\nMore than that, the swerve system challenged our students to rise to a higher level of design, coding, and mechanical engineering. They worked together to learn new skills, troubleshoot complex problems, and think critically like real engineers. It gave them not just a competitive edge—but a boost in confidence, collaboration, and innovation.\r\n\r\nWhile we didn't make it all the way to Worlds this year, our robot stood out and held its own against powerhouse teams, and your support played a big role in that. Our students walked away from this season proud, empowered, and already excited for what's next.\r\n\r\nThank you for being a part of our journey. You helped make a real impact, and we are so grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1731965664918,"projectUrl":"project/help-team-514-drive-into-a-winning-allia/8938102/","projectTitle":"Help Team 514 Drive Into a Winning Alliance","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Warren","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3135730_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720465917517","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/warren217"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_23095","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":764,"numTeachers":66,"percentFrplEligible":19,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":81,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":23095,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Miller Place High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Miller Place High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/miller-place-union-free-school-district/miller-place-high-school/23095"}
