Our reading corner has become a place of warmth and peaceful vibes. The students have truly fallen in love with our new carpet. They especially love the bright and welcoming happy faces on our carpet. One of my students did not like to sit on the floor and always requested a chair. Thanks to our new carpet, this student not only sits on the carpet with a good book, he has even been seen laying on the floor with a good book! \r\nThe students especially love their new seating cubes. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to all of you. My students definitely enjoyed the math activities I was able to purchase. Working with my students I noticed how motivated they are this year with solving math problems using math escape rooms! So I purchased different escape rooms on different grade levels. For example I have a group of 5th grade students, who are very passionate about soccer. I was able to purchase a soccer themed escape room that has students solve long division problems. Long division is a challenging concept with so many steps for them to complete correctly to get the final answer. Practicing is the key to strengthen their understanding and ability. They were definitely engaged and motivated to complete the work! \r\nAlso having the table top white board allowed me to model problems quickly. This board has been utilized every day during my instruction. It has helped my lessons run smoother and now I can individualize my instruction more efficiently. \r\nThank you again for your support!","fullyFundedDate":1736211684358,"projectUrl":"project/table-top-white-board/8926165/","projectTitle":"Table Top White Board","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. King","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9829348"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_22593","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":468,"numTeachers":43,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":59,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":30,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.4,"schoolId":22593,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Daniel Street Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Daniel Street Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/lindenhurst-union-free-school-district/daniel-street-elementary-school/22593"}
