These hands-on, leveled materials made learning more concrete and equitable for all my learners!\r\n\r\nWe used the resources daily as students researched mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, birds, and insects. From the sturdy new mailboxes to the cozy reading corner carpet, I don't think I could ever truly express my gratitude.\r\n\r\nThe new carpet and floor cushions have been a huge hit! Students get to sit in our reading corner to quietly read during free time, but it is also used as a calming corner for students who are feeling overwhelmed and need to step away to relax. My favorite use of the space is for group work. We often have times where scholars are assigned partners to complete a reading and writing activity, and this space is always the #1 choice for groups to complete their work.\r\n\r\nAlong with this, our sturdy mailboxes make for an organized day in our room. Students papers and school event flyers are all sorted into their mailboxes. At the end of the day, the scholars know right where to go to get all of their important papers to bring home and show their families.
