The trampoline, yoga balls, and play-dough you helped provide are now an essential part of our daily routine. Students use the trampoline and yoga balls during sensory breaks to release energy and refocus, while play-dough has become a favorite for building fine motor skills and offering a calming outlet during transitions. Just last week, a student who often struggles to re-engage after lunch was able to use the trampoline and return to math with a big smile and renewed focus, something that hadn't been possible before.\r\n\r\nThe excitement when the materials first arrived was unforgettable. Our students' faces lit up with joy as they explored each new item. Several students immediately jumped onto the trampoline and began counting their bounces out loud, turning it into both a fun and academic experience. Others gravitated to the Play-Doh, proudly showing off the shapes and letters they created. These moments showed us that the resources you provided are not just tools, but bridges to learning, confidence, and connection.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we'll continue incorporating these sensory supports into lessons and routines to help students regulate, focus, and fully participate in class. Our next step is to connect these tools with academic goals, for example, using yoga balls during reading groups to help with attention, or integrating play-dough into literacy lessons for hands-on letter formation practice. Your generosity has made this growth possible, and we are so grateful to have you as partners in our students' success.","fullyFundedDate":1746630771752,"projectUrl":"project/jumping-into-focus/9320113/","projectTitle":"Jumping Into Focus!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Noel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2491343_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1470922325906","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/missrcas"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_125682","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":89,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":84,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"US Census Data for the surrounding geographic area","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"Census ZCTA","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":71.8,"schoolId":125682,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS Q233 @ PS134 on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS Q233 @ PS134","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/district-75-city-wide-programs/ps-q233-ps134/125682"}
