I'm thrilled to share how your support is making a difference.\r\n\r\nThe Flashforge Adventurer 5M 3D printer has introduced a new way for my students to learn by doing. Instead of just discussing sustainability, students are now making sustainable projects. They are grasping engineering ideas, solving problems, and designing in clear, visual, and hands-on ways. The 3D printer lets them bring their digital designs to life, creating real items to touch, assess, and refine. This hands-on learning is especially helpful for students who thrive with tactile, step-by-step activities.\r\n\r\nWhat excites them most is knowing their creations have a real purpose. They love that the reusable flowerpots, drinking straws, and other eco-friendly items they design will be shared with the school community on Earth Day during our Green Giveaway Day. Contributing to reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainability makes them feel proud and responsible. The printer has made learning meaningful, creative, and fun. Some of the most touching moments have come from students who usually struggle with traditional tasks. One student, who rarely talks, is now fascinated by watching videos of printers working, and asking questions with his device. Another student, who usually needs a lot of help, shows amazing focus during the design process, experimenting with shapes and textures like never before. Working with students from our partner school has also boosted their confidence, social skills, and sense of belonging.\r\n\r\nYour help didn't just buy equipment. My students were thrilled to see various art materials laid out and were eager to participate in the lesson about planting a seed and designing their pots. Together they were given the opportunity to communicate their ideas, diverse styles in painting their pots to create a special keepsake. My students are really loving all the new materials I have created with my TPT gift card and they really do help motivate them to communicate. This has been so helpful in planning my lessons and helping my lessons to be more multimodal, visual and hands on experiences for the students. I will always have a material that I can pull out and use with a student during a speech intervention session that is guaranteed to be a hit.\r\n\r\nThe big favorite is the switch adapted disco light. It is being used in so many ways and is super motivating for our students. It has become the dedicated ambiance for our school mobile snack cart which is student led and provides pre-vocational experiences for our students. They love getting the role of accessing the switch to turn the lights on and change colors when we have customers at our school store.\r\n\r\nDespite the significant communication deficits that my students have, they are such wonderful students and I feel so grateful to be able to encourage their communication development and growth with the materials your donations have provided me with.
