As soon as the tools arrived, we put them to use in a woodworking project where students assembled their own step stools and sitting stools. For many of them, it was their first time using real, professional-grade equipment, and the DeWalt drills gave them the confidence and stability they needed to complete each task safely and successfully.\r\n\r\nI'll never forget their reactions when they first saw the materials. The room filled with excitement—wide eyes, huge smiles, and students eagerly asking, \"Are we really getting to use those today?\" The presence of real tools made them feel trusted, capable, and empowered. As they drilled pilot holes, connected pieces, and watched their stools take shape, you could see pride growing with every step. These weren't just classroom activities—they were meaningful, skill-building experiences that will stay with them.\r\nNow that they've completed their first stools, we're moving into the next phase of our unit. Students will begin designing modifications and creating small improvements to future builds, applying everything they've learned about measurement, tool safety, and construction. The DeWalt drills you helped provide will continue to be at the center of these lessons, giving students the opportunity to build, revise, and create with increasing independence.\r\n\r\nYour generosity didn't just supply tools—it opened the door to real-world learning, confidence-building, and the joy of creating something they can truly call their own. The cordless microscope has made it easy for students to move, share, and work collaboratively, helping them build communication skills, cooperation, and confidence as they discuss what they observe.\r\nThis new equipment also supports essential academic skills, including practical science vocabulary, curiosity-driven questioning, and step-by-step problem-solving. Students who previously struggled to connect with traditional lessons are now actively participating, asking thoughtful questions, and showing pride in their discoveries. Their enthusiasm has been incredible to watch.\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your generosity and belief in our students.
