As soon as the table was put together by the amazing custodial staff and placed in my room my students were so excited!! They noticed it as soon as they walked in for resource room. I explained to them how so many people helped to get this table for us to work at and learn together. They were very happy and excited to finally be at a table instead of a desk where they couldn't interact with each other as much.\r\n\r\n We are using the table daily and the students are so happy about being around each other. I have also put large dots on the table so the students know where to sit and can use it to write on with dry erase marker. We are working on sounding out CVC words, blending sounds together to read words and writing (learning about how the writing process works). Being around a table the students are able to help each other and work together to be the best learners they can be! I am also able to meet with students individually at the table while the rest of the students are working on an independent activity. It is perfect for the amount of students I work with on a daily basis.\r\n\r\n Moving forward we will continuing working on the skills mentioned above. We will also be working on building our classroom relationships with each other. We will be working on writing stories about fall and what we are looking forward to with Halloween coming up soon! Again thank you for all your support and my students are so happy and engaged in our learning!","fullyFundedDate":1746752140688,"projectUrl":"project/table-time-for-our-best-learning/9155689/","projectTitle":"Table Time for Our Best Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hart","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/e-hart"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_22474","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":395,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":72,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":88,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 2","studentTeacherRatio":"12.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":77.1,"schoolId":22474,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about George D Ryder Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"George D Ryder Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/cobleskill-richmondville-school-district/george-d-ryder-elementary-school/22474"}
