Students know that if they missed breakfast or need a hygiene item, they can grab what they need without having to ask or make a scene.\r\n\r\nThe students were surprised and practical. When they saw the crates of snacks and the hygiene supplies, the most common response was, \"Wait, we can just use these whenever we need them?\" Once they realized these weren't for a special occasion, but for their daily well-being, the tension in the room noticeably dropped. \r\n\r\nYesterday, during a particularly long testing block, I saw three different students quietly grab a snack from the station. Usually, those students would have spent that hour distracted or irritable because they were hungry. Instead, they stayed in their seats, finished their work, and stayed on task. Having these supplies on hand turned a potential disruption into a productive work session.","fullyFundedDate":1768616305615,"projectUrl":"project/thank-you-tepper-foundation-for-keeping/10022177/","projectTitle":"Thank You Tepper Foundation for Keeping Us at Our Best!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mroz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9766279"},{"teacherId":9765481,"projectId":9532900,"letterContent":"I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of our classroom wishlist through DonorsChoose. Your contribution has directly supported my 11th-grade ELA Regents and AP Language and Composition students—students who work incredibly hard and truly benefit from having the tools and environment they need to thrive.\r\n\r\nThe whiteboards, markers, folders, notebooks, and highlighters have already transformed the way my students engage with their learning. During various review games, my juniors students participate by eagerly holding up their whiteboards to share answers. Many of them have told me how much they love being able to doodle while we review—it helps them focus, stay calm, and enjoy the learning process. These small moments of joy have made our classroom feel more connected and energized.\r\n\r\nYour donations of menstrual products, travel deodorants, and personal-care items have also made a tremendous impact. My students—many of whom juggle school, work, and family responsibilities—no longer need to worry about the \"little things\" that can cause unnecessary stress. The flexible seating options, like the saucer chairs and floor pillows, have helped transform our classroom into a comfortable, student-centered space where learning feels inviting rather than overwhelming.\r\n\r\nThanks to the Swiffer, vacuum, paper towels, and disinfecting wipes, we are able to maintain a clean and healthy learning environment every day. This is extremely important in a classroom that is always busy and full of activity. As we enter the cold and flu season, I feel an immense amount of relief knowing that my students and I will learn in a (mostly) germ-free environment.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has brought positivity, comfort, and a renewed sense of enthusiasm to our classroom. My students and I are deeply grateful for your kindness and the meaningful impact you've had on their academic and personal well-being. Thank you for believing in them, supporting their goals, and helping create a space where they can truly succeed. On behalf of my students, we wish you a happy and healthy holiday season. These supplies may seem simple, but they play a powerful role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for my students.\r\n\r\nThe classroom snacks, like Oreos and chocolate chip cookies, will be wonderful motivators during lessons where participation and discussion are especially important. They also make great rewards for games and activities, helping to keep students excited and engaged in learning.\r\n\r\nThe Expo markers bring color and energy to our whiteboard, allowing me to clearly display daily goals and lesson outlines in a way that draws students' attention. The cardstock, both white and colored, helps my teaching materials last longer, while the bright colors make important information stand out, supporting student understanding.\r\n\r\nIn Health class, participation and open discussion are key.
