Your contribution has made a meaningful impact in our classroom by helping us create a more engaging and inclusive learning experience. We used the snacks during our multicultural meetings, where students shared presentations about their cultures and traditions. Being able to connect food with learning allowed students to better understand and appreciate the diversity within our classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were incredibly excited and curious. It created a special moment where students felt proud to share their backgrounds and eager to learn about others. The snacks helped build a sense of community, making our classroom feel more welcoming and connected.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we are continuing our multicultural unit by working on a \"culture showcase\" project, where students will present what they've learned through posters, presentations, and discussions. Your kindness and support mean more to us than words can truly express. Because of your thoughtful contribution, our students will have the incredible opportunity to explore one of the most important and influential works of Spanish literature. Don Quijote is not just a novel; it is a timeless masterpiece that teaches valuable lessons about imagination, perseverance, identity, and the power of dreams.\r\n\r\nYour donation will directly impact our classroom by allowing students to engage with authentic literary texts, strengthen their reading and analytical skills, and deepen their appreciation for Hispanic culture and history. The concept we were discovering is that the size of an object or substance has no effect on its density. We could of course learn the same concept using different size pieces of aluminum, or pvc, or any number of other substances. I think however that the impact of using Hershey bars to discover this foundational concept, is that the experience as well as the learning are much more likely to be remembered. As I said, I am very grateful for the materials you purchased, and the students were quite excited when they saw that day's lab materials. \r\nOnce we established that there is no relationship between sample size and density with the provided hershey bars, we went about exploring what factors can effect density. We started with temperature and the popcorn you provided was the way we did it. Students measured mass and volume before the corn was popped and calculated density. Then they popped the corn and took all the measurements again. In this way they discovered the inverse relationship between temperature and density. \r\nShortly after this lab we went outside to demonstrate this relationship one more time. We filled a fifty foot plastic bag with air. Allowed it to warm in the sun and then rise. Here we discovered that increasing the temperature of a substance decreases it's density. My sincerest thanks again for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1758290315213,"projectUrl":"project/delicious-density/9710959/","projectTitle":"Delicious Density","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Creedon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9271028_orig.jpg?crop=1489,1489,x0,y880&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694369570822","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9271028"},{"teacherId":9787086,"projectId":9702057,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating snacks for our Multicultural Club!
