At five and six years old, my students are still developing fine motor strength, attention skills, and the ability to regulate their busy bodies. Materials like Magnetic Cubes, Linking Cubes, Brain Flakes, craft pom poms, and Hashtag Blocks give them safe and constructive ways to explore, build, and channel their energy. These open-ended materials support creativity while also calming students who need tactile input to stay grounded. By providing developmentally appropriate sensory and building tools, this project will help my young learners strengthen their motor skills, collaborate with classmates, and confidently participate in classroom activities every day.\r\nAt the kindergarten level, students are just beginning to understand their bodies, emotions, and how to participate in a classroom community. Many still struggle with sensory overload, attention, self-regulation, and transitions throughout the day. These sensory tools will provide my students with hands-on, developmentally appropriate supports to help them calm down, feel secure, and stay engaged in learning.
