When they first opened them, they were amazed and so excited to use them. Using this tool is one of the activities that students look forward to most when they come each day. Having one for each student is so beneficial for student success!\r\n\r\nThese word‑building kits support student learning in multiple powerful ways such as developing phonemic awareness by letting learners segment and blend sounds, reinforce phonics through hands‑on practice with onsets, rimes, blends, digraphs, and vowel patterns, and strengthen both decoding (reading) and encoding (spelling) fluency through repeated construction of words. By including base words, prefixes, and suffixes, the kits promote vocabulary growth and morphological understanding while fostering metalinguistic awareness as students notice patterns. \r\n\r\nThese multisensory, game‑like activities increase engagement, especially for kinesthetic learners and easily differentiate instruction from simple CVC work to multisyllabic and morphologically complex words, allowing use for all of the grade levels that I work with each day. These are such an efficient, adaptable and stimulating tool for building foundational literacy.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students are making so much progress with their reading skills!
