This gigantic hundred's grid math mat is a visually pleasing floor mat students can walk, kneel, hop, and jump on with varying activities. Our school has students in grades Pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. All of our kindergarten students through fifth grade will use it for counting, adding, subtracting, finding number patterns, multiplying, etc. \r\n\r\nThis gigantic math mat is not only helpful in our classrooms, but it is used in a weekly after school math program. These students use the math mat to play math games and solve math riddles. Students from our high school help run the games and activities in this program, receiving volunteer hours towards the National Honor Society for their time.\r\n\r\nThe gigantic math mat will also be used in our annual Math Carnival event. This is a district-wide math event held in the evening for parents and students to play and engage in many different math activities. It shows the parents how our students use mathematical thinking skills and number-sense to problem solve. It is always a fun night for everyone!\r\n\r\nAs you can see, the gigantic math mat is used to help make learning math concepts fun and engaging.
