With these materials, students created masks inspired by cultures around the world. They designed and cut out their masks, used plaster of Paris to mold them, and then painted them with acrylics. It was amazing to see students who are usually quiet get excited and really take pride in their work.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, the kids were so excited—especially to try plaster for the first time. It made the project feel special and different from our usual work.\r\n\r\nNext, we're learning more about the meaning behind masks from different cultures and will be displaying our finished pieces for a school gallery. While I move around the room I can pay particular attention to the students who have chosen that zone. \r\n\r\nWe are learning Business Communication via the Google Suite and Personal Finance which are both such important skills for their future careers.
