We have read through 5 books so far since slowly setting up our library in our special needs classroom in the Middle School. Our books we have read via ASL Read-A-louds have been like entering a magical world. \r\n\r\nIn our Classroom, reading is a challenging subject as their first language is American Sign Language and written english is a mystery that they are slowly getting their teeth into. Our diverse learning population in the classroom have different learning needs and challenges that these books in our library address in a gentle and encouraging vibe. \r\n\r\nOne student is a huge science fan and loves to learn about science, space & rockets, math and more. These books help aid his hands on learning. All students love graphic novels that they can revisit again and again. Dog Man has been popular.
