While technology is a part of their everyday lives, we want to provide opportunities at school for students to engage in active, student-centered activities that encourage movement, creativity, and social interaction.\r\nWhen the weather is cold, rainy, or snowy, our students have indoor recess. We want to make this time more productive and enjoyable by offering a wider variety of active games and activities. The resources on our project list will help keep students energized, occupied, and engaged while safely indoors.\r\nThese games will provide students with structured opportunities to practice collaboration, cooperation, and teamwork. Having more organized activities can positively impact student behavior by giving students clear expectations, purposeful ways to use their energy, and opportunities to interact with their peers in a positive environment.\r\nOur goal is to create an indoor recess experience that is centered around student choice and engagement. With a variety of the games you have made available, students can explore different activities, discover what they enjoy, and find ways to participate throughout the recess period. This will help ensure that students have meaningful options to stay active and entertained rather than becoming bored or disengaged.\r\nYour support will help us transform indoor recess into a time of movement, connection, and learning. By providing these resources, you are helping our students develop important social skills, manage their energy, and enjoy a safer, more structured, and more rewarding recess experience.\r\nThank you for supporting our students and helping us create a school environment where every child has the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1778520524874,"projectUrl":"project/the-great-escape-the-indoor-adventure-z/10078030/","projectTitle":"The Great Escape: The Indoor Adventure Zone","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pierce","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8669854"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_82527","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":39,"numTeachers":7,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":17,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":79,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"5.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":82527,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Maxwell Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Maxwell Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-mexico/maxwell-municipal-schools/maxwell-municipal-school/82527"}
