We opened them together and dug into them immediately. Now that we have had them for a couple months, we are using them daily in our small group instruction time.\r\n During whole group time, we have used magnatiles in creative ways to reinforce phonics skills. We've used our sensory table, play tweezers, and letters to find words with our peers. Our light tables have been great additions to continue exposure to shapes and provide a different approach to simple activities. Sand has became a weekly routine to stamp out our phonics words. \r\n One of my favorite ways I've seen the supplies transform our learning has been in math. The sumblox and scale have reinforced the equal sign. It's given the students a visual about creating balance in equations. This is a skill that students typically learn in algebra, but with these tools it's equipped them with knowledge that will carry them into the future. Responsibility has improved as students return all manipulatives to their corresponding containers.
