We are also utilizing these stories to sharpen active reading skills and master the art of summarization. Because the students are genuinely excited about the plots and characters, they are much more willing to do the hard work of analyzing the text and thinking critically about what they've read.\r\nOne of the most rewarding aspects of this project has been watching the students' faces light up when they realized they could finally read the next part of the story.
