These building opportunities are opening up their creative minds. It is incredible to see!! My students were so excited when they first saw the new materials and immediately began imagining what they could create. They love working with their hands, and these resources are giving them opportunities to explore engineering, architecture, artistic design, and problem-solving through hands-on challenges. Students are creating building structures, and experimenting with different ideas while learning that they can redesign, try again, and turn mistakes into new possibilities.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue transforming our art classroom into a creative STEAM makerspace where students can design, build, invent, and collaborate. They will continue working on open-ended projects that encourage imagination, perseverance, and creative thinking. Because many of our students come from diverse backgrounds and face financial challenges that can limit access to creative resources, having these materials at school is especially meaningful. Your generosity is helping make creative exploration accessible to every student.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your support is helping my students see themselves as **creators, problem-solvers, artists, and innovators**. Thank you for giving them the opportunity to explore their ideas, learn through doing, and discover what they are capable of creating!","fullyFundedDate":1786911792114,"projectUrl":"project/imagine-it-create-it-build-it/10402844/","projectTitle":"Imagine It! Because of your generosity—and the incredible support from the Johnson Ohana Foundation, who matched all donations—my 4th and 5th grade artists were able to dive into a creative Hot Air Balloon project that not only sparked their imagination but also connected them to the world around them.\r\nOur hot air balloon glow project was in honor of the International Balloon Fiesta here in New Mexico. The students were thrilled to combine art with a local cultural event, and the excitement in the room as they painted was contagious! The buzz of students working together, mixed with the \"oohs\" and \"aahs\" when the balloons started to glow under the black lights, was truly unforgettable. It was a special moment for them to see their work come to life and to connect with an event that's so important to our state.\r\nWhen the students first saw the neon paints, their reactions were priceless. They were so excited, with wide eyes and big smiles, ready to get started! It gave them a chance to explore color in a completely new way and express their creativity in ways they hadn't before.\r\nLooking ahead, after Thanksgiving, we'll be using the remaining neon paint to add final details to our gingerbread village. I can't wait to see how their glowing creations will add extra magic to this holiday project!\r\nOnce again, thank you for making this project possible.
