The technology you provided allows students to participate in structured, team-based gaming experiences that emphasize strategy, communication, problem-solving, and digital citizenship. For many of our students, this is their first opportunity to use gaming technology in an academic setting, where it is guided by clear expectations, reflection, and learning goals rather than passive consumption.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is that this program validates their interests and talents. They are learning that gaming can be more than entertainment; it can be a space to practice leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. Students analyze gameplay, give peer feedback, manage roles, and reflect on how their decisions impact the team. These are transferable skills that show up in the classroom, during group work, and even in students' confidence when speaking and collaborating with others.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who previously struggled to connect in traditional classroom settings have truly thrived through this project. Students who are multilingual learners, introverted, or disengaged have found a sense of belonging and purpose through esports. They show up early, stay focused, and take pride in representing their team and school. Because of you, students feel seen, capable, and motivated, and that impact extends far beyond the screen. Thank you for believing in our students and investing in opportunities that meet them where they are.","fullyFundedDate":1763316530462,"projectUrl":"project/e-sports-for-those-who-need-it/9587053/","projectTitle":"E-Sports for Those Who Need It","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Cole","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9334740"},{"teacherId":9923283,"projectId":9113053,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for making this possible for my students. I wrote about their strengths and what an amazing student they were in my class. I attached a note to the books which instructed parents to send this book back with their child on the last day of school, every year up graduation, so that their teachers can write them a message inside the cover.\r\n\r\nI received so much appreciation from parents over these goody-bags.
