At the end of last school year, I curated the items that were funded into \"goody bags\" for my students to take home on the last day of school. Their faces lit up when they walked inside the classroom and they saw their fun goody bags!\r\n\r\nI wrote a message inside of the cover for every student in their \"Oh, The Places You'll Go!\" book. I wrote about their strengths and what an amazing student they were in my class. I attached a note to the books which instructed parents to send this book back with their child on the last day of school, every year up graduation, so that their teachers can write them a message inside the cover.\r\n\r\nI received so much appreciation from parents over these goody-bags. They were excited for their child to have some summer activities to do, as well as were very happy about the book that was included. This was such a fun experience for both me and my kiddos.","fullyFundedDate":1744240643840,"projectUrl":"project/special-education-oh-the-places-youll/9113053/","projectTitle":"Special Education: Oh the Places You'll Go (and Summer Goody-Bag)","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Noonan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9923283_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y504&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744307826607","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9923283"},{"teacherId":8803617,"projectId":7090090,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our classroom has been transformed with essential tools that make learning more engaging and hands-on! The paper cutter, laminator, and glue have helped me create durable and interactive learning materials that my students can use every day. From reusable sight word flashcards to hands-on math centers, these resources have allowed my students to practice important skills in a fun and meaningful way.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their excitement was priceless! They couldn't wait to use the laminated word-building mats during literacy centers and were eager to work on creative projects with their new supplies. One of our favorite activities so far has been creating personalized word books, where students cut, glue, and laminate their own reference guides to use during writing time.\r\n\r\nThese tools will continue to support my students as they build their reading, writing, and math skills throughout the year. Next, we will be creating interactive phonics games and reusable math practice sheets to reinforce key concepts.
