Every student has benefited immensely by participating in this learning experience. During the past several weeks, the robotic arms have begun to move after many delays and setbacks. Even though the movements may still be abrupt and lack precision, the excitement of watching autonomous movement in a system constructed, powered, and programmed over many weeks and months is almost indescribable. \r\n\r\nIn addition to gaining a better appreciation for the amount of work that goes into building a functioning humanoid robot or a semi-autonomous surgery robot, the students have gained invaluable experience working as part of a diverse team, recognizing personal strengths and ensuring that everyone's skills support the team efforts. Students have learned to communicate effectively within teams and between teams by setting goals, documenting progress toward those goals, and documenting successes as well as mistakes. Students also have learned how to be resourceful when they are confronted with hardware shortages. Most importantly, the students have learned to be persistent when confronted with seemingly insurmountable challenges. I am extremely proud of every one of my students. Their accomplishments and experiences building, programming, and troubleshooting the robotic arm would not have been possible without your generous support.","fullyFundedDate":1767203369002,"projectUrl":"project/autonomous-robotic-arm/9899774/","projectTitle":"Autonomous Robotic Arm","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Geoff","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10352549"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_105406","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":231,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":3,"percentLatinx":80,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":55.6,"schoolId":105406,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Health Leadership High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Health Leadership High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-mexico/albuquerque-public-schools/health-leadership-high-school/105406"}
