First, I would like to thank you for the donation of tape, rulers, and tape measures. While these supplies are not project-specific, they have been used daily by more than 115 students. They have been a valuable asset to the program and an important supplement to the tools already in use. Having new rulers and tape measures is critical to maintaining accurate and clear measurements while students design, build, and create.\r\n\r\nThere are two specific instances in which these new supplies have directly benefited students. Currently, students are designing a rabbet-jointed box with a dadoed bottom. One of the life skills and project requirements is to draw a half-scale, three-view drawing as a plan for construction. Without the new rulers, measurements would have been blurred or inaccurate due to worn markings on older tools. The new rulers provided clear and precise measurements, helping students maintain accuracy.\r\n\r\nThe second instance occurred when students were attaching hardware to their picture frames. The new tape measures made it easier to mark reference points accurately so that the hardware was positioned consistently on each piece. In addition, the narrow blue painter's tape was especially helpful because it eliminated the need to cut wider tape or wrap excess material around the frame. Since hardware is installed after the finishing process, marking on the tape keeps the finished surface free from pencil marks and scratches.\r\n\r\nOnce again, \"Thank You\" from the bottom of the students and my heart for the contributions to the program. We truly appreciate your support of our students and our program. Your donation has provided tools that improve both instruction and student confidence while encouraging careful, thoughtful work. Thank you for helping create opportunities for our students to learn practical skills through hands-on experiences.","fullyFundedDate":1761171825222,"projectUrl":"project/measure-twice-cut-once/9764422/","projectTitle":"Measure Twice Cut Once!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Zavacki","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10288482_orig.jpg?crop=854,854,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758897581708","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10288482"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_82389","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1066,"numTeachers":99,"percentFrplEligible":30,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":64,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":21,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":53.8,"schoolId":82389,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Warren Hills Regional High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Warren Hills Regional High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/warren-hills-regional-school-district/warren-hills-regional-high-school/82389"}
