They were so proud of what they created that they immediately asked to display their work for others to see.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the room exploded with excitement. Students crowded around the table, pointing out all of the tools they couldn't wait to use. Several of them said, \"I've always wanted to try this!\" and a few even asked if they could start crafting before the club meeting officially began. The snacks you provided also helped create a cozy, relaxed environment where students could chat, create, and unwind together.\r\n\r\nStudents are already brainstorming ideas for a next project—from themed sticker sets to decorative embroidered pieces—and the excitement is contagious.\r\n\r\nYour support has given these students a place to express themselves, try new skills, and discover creative confidence. My students and I have been using these resources so much during the first few days of school. On the first day using instruments for the year, many students did not have oil for their valves, cream for their slides, or grease for their corks. All of the supplies came in handy. Instruments were all brought up to useable condition for the year. Now, whenever students need these supplies, they are readily available to them in the room.\r\n\r\nAlso, the saxophone players were very uncomfortable with their previous neck straps. Most of them were deteriorating. The new neck straps came in handy. Now, they can play their instruments comfortably and they have a new desire to learn.\r\n\r\nWe plan to use these supplies for the entire school year. They were very excited to be able to work on their music outside of school. Their hard work paid off in our competition last weekend, and they came in first place. A box of reeds is very expensive for some of our families. By taking this weight off of their shoulders, their children are able to play an instrument. Creating an equal opportunity classroom is something I have been striving for since I started teaching. Donations like these make the band room more equal. Music can become an expensive activity for any family.\r\n\r\nWe are preparing for our Spring Concert in May and are super excited that everyone will be able to play along with us.
