The students were wide-eyed with excitement when they arrived, and project was an enriching STEAM component of our Space Science unit!\r\n\r\nFrom April through June, our Language Arts class studied the Space Race, the Cold War, and the Apollo 11 mission. We also researched some of the Hidden Figures who contributed to NASA's important developments during this time. \r\n\r\nAdding this hands-on project to our learning was an OUT OF THIS WORLD success! The students had to work together, in teams, to communicate, solve problems, and construct the lunar landers successfully. \r\n\r\nWhile we're leaving them assembled for now, I have the option to take them apart and bring the same excitement to my groups of students next year!
