One specific moment that stood out was when we used the materials during a reading comprehension activity—students worked in small groups to analyze a story, support their answers with evidence, and discuss their thinking. It was exciting to see students who are usually quiet become more confident and willing to share their ideas.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their reactions were full of excitement and curiosity. Many of them immediately wanted to explore everything, and they asked questions about how we would use each item. It created a strong sense of motivation and ownership over their learning right from the beginning.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these resources to deepen understanding during our current reading unit. Students will be working on identifying character traits and explaining how characters change throughout a story using evidence from the text. They will also complete a small group project where they create presentations to share their understanding. These resources are helping my students stay more engaged, collaborate more effectively, and take greater pride in their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1776453289840,"projectUrl":"project/bright-walls-bright-minds/10077150/","projectTitle":"Bright Walls, Bright Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9730231_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750114167644","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9730231"},{"teacherId":9730231,"projectId":9949141,"letterContent":"This project has made a meaningful impact on my students by increasing their engagement, confidence, and love of learning. For example, the LCD Writing Tablets have allowed every student to practice writing and drawing simultaneously, making small group lessons more interactive and fun. During a recent spelling activity, students eagerly wrote their words on the tablets and shared them with the class, cheering each other on—many of our students were so proud to see their work displayed digitally without wasting paper!\r\n\r\nThe rainbow suncatchers became the centerpiece of a science-and-art project. Students learned about light, color mixing, and reflection as they painted their suncatchers and hung them in the windows. The joy on their faces when sunlight passed through their creations was unforgettable—they were fascinated to see the colors shine across the classroom.\r\n\r\nOur sweet treats and fun supplies, like Easter candy, themed pencils, and mini erasers, have been wonderful motivators for learning and classroom engagement.
