The students had fun identifying the letters and colors on the rug. \r\n\r\nThe next steps are to integrate more literacy into the learning center. The accessible book area allows them to explore various levels of reading materials. They are so very excited to be able to get to the books easily and read with their peers. The storage area has allowed them to be able to have literacy games that enhance their language art skills in a fun and inviting way. They have already begun a sign up to be able to use our new library area. \r\n\r\nMy students were beyond excited to see the new addition to our classroom. The reactions were, \"Now we have a sofa where we all fit\", \"Wow it's so beautiful\", \"Who got this for us they are amazing\". Yes you all are so amazing. I was so excited to set this up and add games that the students love to use but we did not previously have space to set it up. \r\n\r\nThe next steps for our library area are to add more interactive games since we now have an accessible storage area that the students can manage on their own. The students will be making their own books to add to the book area. They agreed that they wanted text that was made by themselves. We will be purchasing a new rug to add to the area as well.
