Many of my students have been able to master their Spanish letter sounds. As we all know mastering letter sounds is the foundation for being able to blend sounds together in order to read. My students love using these tubs during small groups. They get to have visual representations for each letter sound while also having the opportunity to build their spanish vocabulary. They love identifying the different objects and sorting them into the correct tubs. For my students that have already mastered their letter sounds, I have them pick out objects and try to sound out the word in order to spell it. The next step is to write sentences using the objects. I love how the tubs are so easy to organize and use.
