It was wonderful to see their smiles and know that they have people in the community who care about their well-being and success.\r\n\r\nThese resources help create a positive classroom environment where students can focus on learning, participate in activities, and feel supported. As a teacher, I want every child to feel safe, valued, and ready to do their best. Something as simple as having a snack when they need one can make a big difference in a child's day. The $200 in Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards has allowed me to add a variety of speech-language therapy resources that I can use with students across individual sessions, small groups, and classroom-based support. As a school-based speech-language pathologist, I work with students with many different communication needs, including articulation, receptive and expressive language, vocabulary, AAC, and social communication. Having access to these resources has made it possible for me to select materials that are appropriate for each student's specific communication goals rather than relying on the same activities for every group.\r\n\r\nMy students have especially responded to the interactive and visually engaging activities. The materials have supported work on skills such as answering WH questions, expanding utterances, building vocabulary, following directions, using complete sentences, making inferences, improving speech sound production, and increasing functional communication. For some of my students who use AAC or have more significant communication needs, the visual supports and structured activities provide additional opportunities to request, reject, comment, make choices, answer questions, and participate in interactions with others.\r\n\r\nThese gift cards have also given me much more flexibility as a clinician. Instead of being limited to the materials already available in my speech room, I can choose resources that match the particular students and goals I am working with throughout the school year. Many of the materials can be used in different ways and adapted for students at different communication levels, so this project will continue to benefit my students well beyond a single session. One moment that especially stayed with me was when a student who had only recently begun using a communication device saw the new toys and independently combined icons to say, \"I want to play.\" Seeing her communicate that message on her own was such an exciting moment. Since then, the materials have created so many natural opportunities for students to request, comment, and interact with others. \r\n\r\nYour support is giving my students much more than new toys. Your kindness is already making a meaningful difference in ways that go far beyond the devices themselves. You have opened doors to opportunities that many of our students may not have otherwise had access to, and for that, we are deeply grateful.\r\n\r\nIn today's world, technology is not just a tool—it is a bridge to learning, creativity, communication, and independence. With these iPads, our students can engage more fully in their studies, explore new ways of thinking, and build skills that will serve them well into the future. For students in Care and Tech programs especially, having access to modern, reliable technology allows them to practice real-world applications, develop confidence, and feel empowered in their abilities.\r\n\r\nYour donation also helps us create a more inclusive and equitable learning environment. Not all of our students have access to personal devices at home, which can create barriers to completing assignments, participating in digital learning, or accessing important resources. Because of you, we can help close that gap. Every student now has a better chance to succeed, stay connected, and feel supported in their educational journey.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, these iPads bring a sense of excitement and motivation into the classroom. Students are more engaged, more curious, and more willing to take initiative in their learning. They can collaborate with their peers, access interactive content, and express their ideas in creative ways that were not possible before. These are the kinds of experiences that inspire lifelong learning—and you have made that possible.\r\n\r\nWe also want you to know that your generosity sends a powerful message to our students: that someone believes in them. That someone cares about their future and is willing to invest in their success. That message is just as valuable as the technology itself. It reminds them that they are seen, supported, and capable of achieving great things.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our entire school community—our students, teachers, and staff—thank you for your thoughtful and impactful contribution. Your support is not only enhancing education today but helping to shape brighter futures for the young people we serve.\r\n\r\nWe are truly grateful for your generosity and your belief in our students.","fullyFundedDate":1774661044188,"projectUrl":"project/care-and-tech/10026812/","projectTitle":"Care and Tech","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Diaz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8887831"},{"teacherId":8887831,"projectId":9631184,"letterContent":"The technology provided through this project has made a meaningful difference in my classroom and in the way my students learn each day. Many donors use technology at home, but in a classroom setting technology becomes a powerful learning tool that helps students engage with lessons in ways that traditional materials sometimes cannot. For my students, the technology allows them to practice skills in an interactive, hands-on way while also receiving immediate feedback. This helps them stay motivated and confident as they learn. Instead of simply listening to a lesson or completing paper worksheets, students are able to actively participate in their learning, which improves both understanding and retention of important skills.\r\n\r\nTechnology also allows me to better meet the individual needs of my students. Every child learns at a different pace, and the tools we received help provide differentiated instruction so that each student can practice skills at the level that is right for them. Some students need additional practice, while others are ready for more challenging tasks. The technology makes it possible for students to work independently while still receiving support and guidance. It also allows me to monitor their progress and provide targeted instruction when needed. This ensures that no student feels left behind and every child has the opportunity to grow.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting aspects of the new product for my students is the level of engagement it brings to our classroom. Students are naturally curious about technology, and they love being able to interact with the tools during lessons. The excitement in the room when we first introduced the technology was incredible. Students were eager to explore, try new activities, and learn how to use the tools to support their work. It has turned everyday lessons into experiences that feel fun, meaningful, and motivating. Even students who sometimes struggle to stay focused are much more attentive and eager to participate when technology is involved.\r\n\r\nI have also seen particular students truly benefit from the addition of this technology. Some of my students who previously felt hesitant to participate are now more confident because the technology provides a supportive way for them to practice skills without feeling pressure. For students who may struggle with writing, communication, or fine motor skills, the technology helps remove some of those barriers so they can focus more on expressing their ideas and understanding the lesson. Watching these students become more engaged and proud of their work has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nOverall, this project has helped create a more inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for my students. Your generosity has allowed my classroom to grow in ways that truly support student success. My students are not only learning important academic skills, but they are also building confidence, independence, and excitement about learning. We are incredibly grateful for the support that made this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1765228591663,"projectUrl":"project/multilingual-learners/9631184/","projectTitle":"Multilingual Learners!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Diaz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8887831"},{"teacherId":1050138,"projectId":9732065,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for your contributions to our project.
