Because of your support, I received a class set of 30 calculators, which will allow all 150 of my students (over 5 different class periods) to feel success. Many of my students do not have access to their own calculators, and the calculators that I do have in my classroom have become worn out (they have cracked screens, don't turn on, or have missing buttons). When your gift arrived in my classroom, it was such an exciting moment. Students couldn't wait to help unbox them and they were floored by the fact that they were donated from people we didn't even know! Your gift has ensured that every student now has access to a reliable mathematical tool that supports their learning every time they step into my classroom.\r\n\r\nHaving a complete class set of calculators allows students to focus on developing important mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. While I continue to strengthen math fact fluency in the classroom through a variety of activities there are some times during the lesson that I want students to engage in higher-level mathematical thinking and tackle more complex problems without worrying about whether their multiplication problem has the correct answer. These calculators provide students with that exact opportunity. Students can now confidently work through more complex math skills, such as solving multi-step equations, calculating slope, and finding the area of composite figures without becoming frustrated by basic computation errors. \r\n\r\nYour generosity is making a meaningful difference in the middle-school experience of my students. By removing a potential roadblock in their learning process, you have helped make my classroom more equitable where every student has the opportunity and tools to succeed. On behalf of all of my students, their parents, and the entire school community, I want to thank you again for your generous support and investing in my students' education. Your one act will make a difference not only for my current 150 students, but for future students as well.","fullyFundedDate":1778103756575,"projectUrl":"project/tools-to-tackle-math-calculators-for-e/10182547/","projectTitle":"Tools to Tackle Math: Calculators for Every Student","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Shoro","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10067405_orig.png?crop=242,242,x0,y3&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751292153088","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10067405"},{"teacherId":6683401,"projectId":9383226,"letterContent":"I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation, which allowed us to introduce flexible seating into our classroom. Your support has truly transformed our learning environment in ways that go beyond the physical furniture—it has reshaped how my students learn, engage, and grow each day.\r\n\r\nSince implementing the flexible seating options, I've seen a remarkable shift in both the energy and focus within the room. Students now have the opportunity to choose where and how they work best. This autonomy has increased their ownership over their learning and has made the classroom a more inclusive and supportive space for a wide range of learning styles.\r\n\r\nFlexible seating has not only improved focus and behavior, but it has also fostered a stronger sense of community. Students collaborate more easily, move around with purpose, and take greater pride in maintaining our classroom space.\r\n\r\nNone of this would have been possible without your kindness and vision. Your contribution has made a lasting difference—not just in the classroom setup, but in the lives of every student who learns here.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and for investing in their future.
