They were so surprised and happy to see so many fun items! They loved the new calm down area that they can visit frequently to take a break and relax. \r\n\r\nIn the new space we added many new items. There are social stories and books to go over feelings and certain behaviors. We have sensory jars, mindful mazes, and stuff feel toys to review different emotions in a fun way! \r\n\r\nWe have spend the last few days talking about our feelings and ways we can use our words to express ourselves.students use the bench area to read, reflect, and sit with peers as the view and turn take. The students are loving the visual aides and new items in our classroom.
