The metallophone has been put to use for months now by my students, especially my 3rd-6th graders. So far the instrument has been used in my 2025 Spring Concert as well as almost daily in my general music classes. \r\nBecause of this instrument, I am now able to give each student more performance time with the xylophones. This metallophone was my seventh Orff instrument, meaning that my average class would have 4-5 students on an instrument, and this metallophone brought that to 3-4 on an instrument. Since then I've also acquired two more Orff instruments, bringing my total to nine and ensuring that only 2-3 students have to share an instrument at once. This means significantly less downtime in my lessons and more time for each student to practice their parts.\r\nThank you again for your contributions to this; the metallophone is well-loved and regularly used by my students and has greatly contributed to my instructional time.","fullyFundedDate":1743020072228,"projectUrl":"project/accessibility-in-the-music-classroom-h/9191726/","projectTitle":"Accessibility in the Music Classroom: Help Build My Instrument Library!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kowalski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9552201"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_80691","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":342,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":26,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":52,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":36,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"13.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":76.9,"schoolId":80691,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Helen I Smith Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Helen I Smith Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/saddle-brook-township-school-district/helen-i-smith-elementary-school/80691"}
