The students were thrilled when I showed them the box. They had never tasted many of the protein bars and were eager to try something new. There were many comments of \"this is awesome Miss\" or \"These are the good stuff, they are expensive in the stores.\" So not only did they have the opportunity to get a snack, but to try a healthier option they may not have otherwise. \r\n\r\nThey know to come in whenever they need a pick me up and do so without abusing the system. During the workshop, students were introduced to various tools and strategies aimed at promoting emotional well-being. Each student received a positive affirmation sticker, a calming strip, and a stress ball to support their practice of coping techniques learned during the workshop.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the workshop, the School Counselor incorporated the use of a Liquid Motion bubbler during one-on-one counseling sessions. This sensory tool served as a helpful aid in fostering emotional regulation and mindfulness for individual students.\r\n\r\nInitially, some students were unfamiliar with the calming strip and expressed confusion about its purpose. The School Counselor provided a thorough explanation and demonstration of how to use the calming strip effectively.
