We received our materials (the headphones and workbooks) and the students were overjoyed! They were excited to unpack the boxes, try on the headphones and sort through the workbooks. Although this may seem like a minor thing to get excited about, it truly made an impact on my students. One student remarked, \"the headphones have ear pads! Now our ears won't hurt!\" They have been using these new headphones as they take a very important ESL test. I can see such a difference in their ability to hear the passages being read and their answers being recorded so clearly. We have used the workbooks to practice for the test and I think they have been better prepared this year with this new set of books. I truly believe the students will achieve higher success by using both of these materials.
