My students have been using the new books and comprehension materials during small-group instruction, independent reading, and literacy activities. One of my favorite moments has been watching students read together, talk about the characters, make predictions, and explain their thinking using evidence from the story. They are beginning to see reading as more than just getting through the words on a page; they are learning how to understand and enjoy what they read.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were so excited! They immediately wanted to look through the books, choose what they wanted to read, and talk about the different characters and stories. Seeing that excitement was especially meaningful because building a genuine love for reading is one of my biggest goals for them this year.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue strengthening comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and reading stamina. As my students grow as readers, we will focus more on skills such as identifying the main idea, understanding character traits, making inferences, and supporting our answers with text evidence. I also plan to continue using these resources to differentiate instruction so that my students can receive the support or challenge they need at their individual reading levels.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and giving them resources that make them excited to learn.
