We have used them during our SEL block in the morning where we discuss our feelings in that moment and we use the books to help us understand those emotions better and ways that we can cope with those specific emotions.\r\n\r\nThese books are always in the Calm SEL corner available to students at all times. When students are having a rough time, or they just need a break they are able to go sit in the cozy bean bag and read a helpful book. They can also use all the other resources that can help they manage their emotions and regulate themselves.\r\n\r\nOne of my students on the spectrum is inlove with Mia the weighted monkey. He spends most of his day carrying her around and it really helps him stay focused during class!
