Your support has made a meaningful difference in our students' daily learning experiences. The book baskets have greatly improved organization in our classroom library, making it easier for students to find, return, and care for books independently. Because everything now has a clear place, students feel more confident navigating the library and taking responsibility for their reading choices.\r\n\r\nThe addition of the Book Buddy Bags has been especially impactful. Students absolutely love having their own personalized bags, which they use to \"book shop\" each week. This simple routine has fostered a sense of ownership and excitement around reading, while also encouraging independence as they thoughtfully select books that interest them. It has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm grow as they eagerly anticipate choosing new books to take back to their seats.\r\n\r\nWe have also been able to use the baskets in our writing center to organize reader response sheets and materials. This has helped keep the space neat and accessible, allowing students to independently find the resources they need when responding to their reading. With everything clearly sorted and easy to reach, students are more focused and productive during writing time, and transitions between activities have become much smoother.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a more organized, engaging, and student-centered reading and writing environment. Because of you, our students are developing stronger habits as readers and writers while taking pride in their independence. We are incredibly grateful for your support and the positive impact it continues to have in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1765926116805,"projectUrl":"project/from-baskets-to-bookworms-growing-first/9894426/","projectTitle":"From Baskets to Bookworms: Growing First Grade Readers!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Volz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10349875"},{"teacherId":10101436,"projectId":9517558,"letterContent":"Mindful Mornings has created a calm, inclusive start to the school day for students across multiple grade levels. Through the use of yoga mats and guided instruction, students actively learn stretching, breathing, and self-regulation techniques that support both their physical well-being and emotional readiness to learn. These practices help students release stress, improve focus, and build body awareness in a developmentally appropriate and engaging way. They enjoy choosing a mat in their favorite color that defines their personal space during the group time.\r\n\r\n\"I love it because it helps me feel calm.\"\r\n\"I like learning new ways to relax!\"\r\n\r\nThe impact of Mindful Mornings extends beyond the mat and into the school classrooms, and we are deeply thankful for the support that makes this program possible. Students are increasingly able to manage their emotions, transition smoothly into academic learning, and use breathing and mindfulness strategies independently throughout the day. Teachers report improved attention, reduced behavioral disruptions, and a more positive classroom climate. Thank you for investing in Mindful Mornings and for helping provide students with lifelong tools that strengthen both individual success and the overall school community.","fullyFundedDate":1758636541195,"projectUrl":"project/mindful-mornings/9517558/","projectTitle":"Mindful Mornings","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Peterson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10101436_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753898087210","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10101436"},{"teacherId":1515783,"projectId":9208631,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our project! Because of your kindness, my incredible fifth-graders were able to engage in a meaningful, hands-on learning experience that they'll never forget.\r\n\r\nThis project allowed students to dive into the world of digital design and sublimation—a completely new and exciting medium for them. Watching their faces light up as their designs came to life was nothing short of magical.\r\n\r\nBeyond the art skills, this project gave us the chance to celebrate the transition to middle school in a personal and creative way. Each student walked away with a keepsake that captured their journey as a kestrel—something tangible to remind them of their growth, leadership, and excitement for what lies ahead.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, having these materials opened the door to teaching design thinking, patience through process, and pride in personal expression.
