We received the materials in mid-January, and they have already become an indispensable resource in our daily classroom routine.\r\n\r\n These headsets have been vital for students who have been absent or need to catch up on assignments. Because of your gift, these students can listen to audio versions of our texts, ensuring they stay on pace with the rest of the class. This resource has significantly increased student engagement; hearing a professional narration helps them connect with the story and prevents them from feeling overwhelmed by long, complex texts they might otherwise struggle to navigate.\r\n\r\n The students were immediately struck by the vibrant colors and the sturdy, high-quality construction of the headsets. It truly made an impression on them that they were provided with a \"premium\" resource rather than the most basic option. They feel valued knowing that the materials in their hands were chosen with care and durability in mind.\r\n\r\n What makes this donation so remarkable is its versatility. These headsets are not limited to a single unit; we are currently utilizing them as we begin our study of Of Mice and Men. We look forward to using them again and again throughout the school year and for years to come.\r\n\r\n Thank you once again for your incredible generosity. This black toner cartridge has become an essential tool, allowing me to print high-quality handouts and worksheets whenever they are needed. Whether our school's main copier is down or there is an unexpected need during a lesson, I now have the flexibility to respond immediately and keep students on track.\r\n\r\nThis resource has made a meaningful difference in day-to-day classroom operations. Students who were absent, misplaced their materials, or accidentally damaged their work no longer fall behind or feel left out. I can quickly provide replacement copies, ensuring that every student has access to the same materials and opportunities to succeed. In a fast-paced classroom environment, this kind of reliability helps maintain momentum and keeps all learners engaged.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has helped create a more supportive and responsive learning environment. With the addition of color toner for our newly donated laser printer, we are now able to provide students with vibrant, high-quality materials that bring learning to life. Instead of relying on black-and-white copies or limited shared resources, students can now engage with visually rich documents that better support their understanding and retention of key concepts.\r\n\r\nThese color materials have had a direct impact on student engagement and accessibility. Maps, charts, primary source documents, and graphic organizers are clearer, more detailed, and easier to interpret—especially for students who benefit from visual learning supports. In a classroom without traditional textbooks, having the ability to print structured, colorful packets on demand ensures that every student has equal access to the content, allowing them to follow along, annotate, and stay actively involved in lessons.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only enhanced the quality of instruction but has also helped create a more equitable and inclusive learning environment. The comfort items create a more welcoming and supportive classroom environment, allowing students to feel safe, relaxed, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThe printer has also been a game changer. It allows me to provide students with consistent, high quality materials, ensuring that every student has what they need in hand, whether it is reading passages, graphic organizers, or practice activities. The energy and engagement were palpable—students were motivated and confident, eager to contribute and learn from one another.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their reactions were full of curiosity and excitement. Simple items like disinfecting wipes and tissues might seem small, but they immediately helped create a clean, healthy classroom environment where students can focus without distraction. Seeing their classroom better equipped and more organized has also boosted their sense of safety and belonging.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll continue using these tools to support ongoing projects across subjects. Students will apply their whiteboards for quick formative assessments, collaborative problem-solving, and creative exercises, while the classroom's well-maintained environment ensures everyone can stay healthy, present, and ready to learn. You have helped create a safe, welcoming space where students feel cared for, supported, and seen.\r\n\r\nMany of our students come to school carrying stress that extends beyond academics. Having readily available snacks has made an immediate and meaningful difference. Students who may not have eaten before school now have access to food throughout the day, allowing them to focus better in class and during counseling sessions. The storage bins allow us to organize and discreetly provide items when students are in need. Simple comforts like tissues, cleaning supplies, and fidget tools help create an environment that feels calm and supportive rather than clinical.\r\n\r\nThe Epson EcoTank printer has been especially impactful. It allows me to quickly print coping skill worksheets, reflection activities, grounding exercises, and bilingual resources for students and families. Students are excited to receive personalized materials during sessions rather than generic handouts. The ability to print resources immediately allows me to respond in real time to what students are processing emotionally. For example, when a student is working through anxiety, I can provide customized breathing exercises or calming visuals on the spot. This makes our sessions more interactive and meaningful.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from the sensory tools and fidgets. Students who struggle with anxiety or emotional regulation have gravitated toward the fidget items, which help them stay engaged during discussions about difficult topics. The snack options have also helped students feel comfortable attending lunch support groups, knowing they will have something to eat while participating in therapeutic conversations.\r\n\r\nYour support has strengthened our ability to address hunger, warmth, and care in practical ways. Many of my students learn best with physical materials in front of them, and having reliable access to printed resources has significantly improved their ability to stay focused, organized, and confident during lessons.\r\n\r\nWhile the printer has strengthened instruction, the snacks have had an equally powerful impact on my students' daily experience in the classroom. For many students, hunger is a real barrier to learning. The wide variety of snacks—ranging from fruit snacks and crackers to breakfast items—has helped ensure that students can focus on learning rather than on an empty stomach. Students feel seen and cared for when their basic needs are acknowledged, and the availability of snacks has created a calmer, more welcoming classroom atmosphere where students are better able to engage and participate.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from this project, including those who arrive late due to transportation issues, miss breakfast, or struggle with attention during longer class periods. This is truly one of the highlights of the Englewood Public School District, hosting events for students pre-K through 12th grade, meetings for faculty, presentations for the community, and even visiting guests from other schools. \r\n\r\nYour donation allowed us to set up the Make & Take Station at DMHS. Students have access to school supplies--pens, pencils, highlighters, scissors, tape, staplers, hole punches, lined paper, glue sticks--and maker space supplies--clay, STEM kits, canvas panels, building block kits. These high school students have access to anything they might need for school during their lunch periods. Furthermore, classes are able to book this space throughout the day to all make use of the resources.\r\n\r\nThe goal of the Cyber Cafe is to have a computer lab, a maker space, a study space, and a student lounge all in one place on campus. We have over 1000 students just at the high school who have access to the space every day. We typically see anywhere from 30-50 students each day during the lunch periods on top of an additional 100 a week with class bookings. This doesn't include students who use the space during my after school tutorial on Tuesdays, clubs that use this space for meetings (such as SkillsUSA, the bowling team, the eSports team, Girls Who Code from the middle school), special events (our Academy programs will be in here all day in a month for a fun day of networking, competitions, and creative learning to celebrate all their hard work), and more. Hunger no longer stood between them and learning.\r\n\r\nThe vacuum transformed our physical space just as much as the snacks transformed our emotional one. Our rug and floors are now clean, welcoming, and cared for, making the classroom feel safe and respectful. A cleaner environment means fewer distractions, healthier students, and a room that tells them: you matter here.\r\n\r\nTogether, these resources created something larger than supplies.
