Your gift has provided an essential resource that is already making a substantial impact on our students' educational journeys.\r\n\r\nBefore this donation, our classroom shelves offered limited non-fiction resources for beginning readers. Now, thanks to you, our students have access to high-interest, real-world texts covering everything from contemporary careers and modern sports to nature and biography. This new depth of content has been critical in enriching their literacy skills and broadening their understanding of subjects often constrained by basic curriculum materials. Students are developing stronger research habits, synthesizing information from multiple sources, and critically evaluating complex arguments—all skills vital for success beyond our classroom walls.\r\n\r\nWe had the privilege of witnessing the library's introduction last week, and the students' reaction was truly memorable. Many students immediately gravitated toward titles that mirrored their personal passion. Instead of the usual hesitation or boredom that accompanies standard assignments, the students had an immediate, tangible engagement with the material. They weren't reading because they had to; they were reading because they were genuinely curious and inspired.\r\n\r\nYour support directly translates into moments of discovery and a lasting foundation of knowledge for our students. Thank you for investing in their curiosity and helping us foster a love for life-long learning.\r\n\r\nSincerely,","fullyFundedDate":1755706590139,"projectUrl":"project/conscientious-kinders-developing-little/9478591/","projectTitle":"Conscientious Kinders: Developing Little Librarians","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Haney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8970645"},{"teacherId":8970645,"projectId":8914685,"letterContent":"A group of special education students with multiple disabilities, from physical to cognitive impairments, received various gifts for their classroom. These gifts were carefully selected to cater to their diverse needs and included many items. First, sensory toys like textured balls, light-up toys, and musical instruments were provided to stimulate their senses and encourage interaction. Next, manipulatives like stacking blocks, puzzles with large pieces, and adaptive art supplies enhance fine motor skills and cognitive development.\r\n\r\nThe students' reactions were overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing excitement and joy upon receiving their gifts. Some students with limited mobility showed enthusiasm through facial expressions and body language, while others with communication difficulties used gestures or vocalizations to express their delight. The gifts sparked curiosity and engagement, with students eager to explore and interact with the new materials.\r\n\r\nThe gifts have been seamlessly integrated into the classroom environment and are used for sensory breaks to help students regulate their emotions and engage with their environment. The gifts are also incorporated into learning activities to enhance fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and cognitive development.","fullyFundedDate":1734846968148,"projectUrl":"project/multiple-tasks-for-multi-abled-learners/8914685/","projectTitle":"Multiple Tasks for Multi-Abled Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Haney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8970645"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_81504","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":353,"numTeachers":44,"percentFrplEligible":35,"percentAsian":27,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":37,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"8.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.2,"schoolId":81504,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Murray Chittick Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Murray Chittick Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/east-brunswick-public-school-district/murray-chittick-elementary-school/81504"}
