I teach a 6th-grade Language Arts class for students who read below grade level and have an IEP. An IEP(is an Individualized Education Plan) is created for students with some type of learning issue. \r\n\r\nTeachers spend a lot of their own money in their classrooms, so adding to our classroom library has been such a help. The students loved all the graphic novels(which are easier for them to read and comprehend). They were also excited about the chapter books. I plan to read some as a whole group activity as well.\r\n\r\nI enjoy reading on my own, so I love to see students when they are actively reading and excited to read! The Ms. Davidson Store for Behavior Management is surely a success because of your generous donation. My students were and continue to strive to earn classroom dollars so they can \"purchase\" items from the classroom store. My students use this positive reinforcement as a motivation to continue to try their best.\r\n\r\nThe classroom snacks and fidgets are a hit! The students adore the yummy treats and love to be able to \"buy\" them with their earned classroom dollars. This goal of a treat ids a major incentive for the young students I work with.\r\n\r\nThe games and puzzles are wonderful team building activities the students engage in , when they have free time. They love to build with the magnet tiles and enjoy playing the board games together. These activities are great ways to practice patience and turn taking. \r\n\r\nThank you so very much for everything you have done for my classroom.
