These are terrible.\" After sorting them all and determining which would live to color another day, I began examining the rest of my supplies. One thing I have noticed over the past few years is something I have come to refer to as \"creativity is dead.\" Students are influenced by trends and often emulate their peers or those they look up to on social media platforms. This concept, mixed with my shoddy supplies, led me to create this project. \r\n\r\nThe new supplies arrived just in time for us to complete our Independent Reading Project, which asked the students to create \"one-pagers\" that exemplify parts of their novels. The students welcomed the new, clean markers and bins to our room. With the new art supplies, students created some beautiful artwork, which enhanced their descriptions of plot, conflict, setting, characterization, and theme. They were more motivated to take their time and actually invest in their products. \r\n\r\nReading and writing are the backbone of any ELA class, but students often need other outlets to demonstrate knowledge. Since the creation of TikTok and other influential online platforms, I have witnessed a decline in creativity. Having this project funded helped me to see that maybe creativity is not dead yet.","fullyFundedDate":1760051056574,"projectUrl":"project/creativity-is-not-dead/9757454/","projectTitle":"“Creativity Is Not Dead!”","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Langton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9081326_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695737454399","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9081326"},{"teacherId":5444740,"projectId":9692557,"letterContent":"On behalf of my students, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation.
